Its founder, Fernando Burgo, worked hard to create a methodological content, taking into account the intense development of the sector. Leading a team of renowned professionals, Burgo was responsible for the design of exclusive and advanced didactic supports, based on extensive research, ensuring the entry of several generations of designers into the production system with differentiated quality.
Expanding its global presence, in 2015 Istituto opened its first branch in Brazil. The school's implementation process was coordinated by award-winning stylist Daniela Colzani, who took a specialization course at the school itself and later became an IMB consultant.

IMB Fashion books
Since the beginning of its activity, the Istituto di Moda Burgo tried to give its students suitable instruments, such as books, duplicated lecture notes, curves, squares, in order to teach the fashion system. The experience reached through several books’ editions culminated in the realization of two books which the experts of fashion consider the milestones of the fashion teaching methods. They are “Il Modellismo” (last edition 2018) and “Il Figurino” (last edition 2019). These books are constantly up-dated so that can be abreast of the continual evolution in the fashion world.
